Fast & Fixed course - 19 - 20 September 2011

What can I say, another interesting course. There were 20 dentists and 11 dental technicians who came to Ulm, Germany with us.

The first day for dentists was with Dr. Weiss who really excelled himself this time. The case selection and preparation for the Fast & Fixed surgery was exceptional and most importantly, on completion, a happy patient left with new teeth in place.

The first day for the dental technicians was at the Bredent building, training at the laboratory on the Visio.lign - acrylic veneer system. While the dentists were learning the clinical techniques the technicians were creating the patients teeth.

We all met in the evening at Ratskeller in Ulm for some great food, beer, wine and most of all company. The conversation was flowing and the spirits were high.

On the second day everyone attended the lectures at Bredent about the various clinical concepts including single teeth, 'gaps in a row', fast & fixed and edentulous patients and discussions about marketing options especially utilizing social media.

The most exciting part of the second day was the trip to Oktoberfest... The event is huge and dominated by beer, traditionally dressed Germans and oompah bands! Most of us managed to catch a flight back to the UK in one piece... sign that we had a great time.

Definitiely an experience worth repeating!
